Sponsoring the ACA NSW Inner Circles Event

Our mission as a leading childcare recruitment agency is to support and advance the early childhood education and care sector. Recently, we had the privilege of sponsoring the Australian Childcare Alliance (ACA) NSW Inner Circles event. This event provided a platform for sharing critical updates and fostering connections within the sector. Below, we share key insights and our reflections on this important event.

Insights from Speakers

Mark Barraket, Deputy Secretary, Early Childhood Outcomes

Mark Barraket highlighted the NSW Department of Education’s ambitious Universal Preschool Program, which aims to establish 100 new preschools by 2027. He also discussed the Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund, designed to make childcare more affordable and accessible, thereby increasing workforce participation. Additionally, he introduced scholarship initiatives to support early childhood educators, emphasising the government’s commitment to quality education and care.

Sharon Gudu, Executive Director, NSW ECEC Regulatory Authority

Sharon Gudu addressed upcoming national changes to Assessment & Rating (A&R) processes and the National Child Safety Review. She also spoke about the development of a National Model Code to enhance child safety standards. These updates are crucial for ensuring that the sector adheres to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Supporting the ACA NSW

Supporting the ACA NSW event aligns with our mission as a childcare recruitment agency:

  1. Engagement with Regulatory Authorities: Engaging directly with key figures such as Michael Petrie from ACECQA and Mark Barraket from the NSW Department of Education helps us stay informed about regulatory changes and initiatives. This ensures that we can better prepare and advise our clients and candidates on compliance and best practices.
  2. Staying Informed on Sector Changes: Understanding the latest developments in the early childhood education and care sector, allows us to anticipate the needs of the industry and align our recruitment strategies accordingly.
  3. Networking Opportunities: The event provides a platform for networking with other industry professionals. This helps us build valuable relationships and partnerships that can benefit our clients and candidates.

At SOS, we are proud to be part of such initiatives and look forward to continuing our support for the early childhood education sector through events like these.
