What she loves most about working with children:
Stephanie loves being a familiar face in her centres, greeting children and families with a wave, or high-five, always based on what the child wants, ready to start a fun day of learning and play.
What the children have taught her:
Working with children has taught Stephanie to slow down, appreciate the little things, and truly live in the moment.
Her favourite part of the day:
Group times are Stephanie’s favourite, especially when planned activities are implemented. She loves supporting children’s critical and creative thinking while helping them grow their developmental skills.
How she helps children feel safe and happy:
Stephanie focuses on being a positive role model, showing empathy, communicating routines clearly, and always speaking with respect at the children’s level.
Favourite activities to share with children:
From making playdough, colourful rain catchers, and singing with puppets to reading Do Not Open This Book by Andy Lee, Stephanie loves experiences that spark creativity and joy.
What always makes her smile:
Children’s enthusiasm! Whether it’s proudly showing their artwork or discovering ladybugs in the garden, Stephanie loves seeing their passion and curiosity.
Fun fact:
Stephanie was once a swimming champion and can still hold her breath long enough to swim 5–6 laps in a pool.
Coffee order of choice:
A skim cappuccino most mornings, but on adventurous days, a caramel frappe with extra cream.
How she unwinds after a busy day:
Stephanie loves rugging up at home with a movie or her favourite TV series, Marvel superhero movies is a current favourite of hers.
What she’s most proud of:
Being part of children’s journeys to become future leaders and confident, capable learners.
